An online awareness campaign to fight against “Illegal Possession And Trade Of Pet Animals” was organised by Mrs. S. MALAR VIZHI, District Eco Coordinator, ECO CLUB, Kanyakumari District, Tamilnadu, India, with the guidance of Dr. A. PUGAZENDHI, Chief Educational Officer, and Thiru. M. ILLAYARAJA, I.F.S., District Forest Officer and in the presence of Tmt. R. REVATHI, Special District Revenue Officer, Land Acquisition - National Highways, Tirunelveli @ Nagercoil, Thiru. R. MOHAN, District Educational Officer, Nagercoil, Thiru. C. SATISH KUMAR, District Tourist Officer, Thiru. S. SARAVANAN, State Coordinator, WWF India, and Tmt. C. NIRMALA SANTHA KUMARI, Headmistress, Duthie Girl’s Higher Secondary School, Nagercoil. In which 531 Ecoclub Coordinators of Government, Government Aided and Private Schools of Kanyakumari District posted a WhatsApp status to voice out against the “ILLEGAL POSSESSION AND TRADE OF PET ANIMALS” in 36 Seconds. This event was held at Duthie Girls Higher Secondary School, Nagercoil on April 7th, 2023. This achievement has been entered into Indiaan World Records (IWR) on April 14th, 2023.
